The last plenary talk of the conference was given by Professor Ann Pearson of Harvard University and provided a detailed overview of recent advances in the understanding of the TEX86 proxy
Hello there, I'm a first year PhD student at the University of Edinburgh. The focus of my research concerns local water column chemistry of sections spanning the final stages of the Ediacaran Period. In my Masters and first year of PhD I have analysed samples from late Neoproterozoic sections in Namibia and South China using the iron speciation redox proxy, whilst future study will include Sr and Li isotope proxies for weathering and incorporate samples from time-equivalent sections in Siberia. I'm lucky to be working alongside my supervisors: Rachel Wood, Simon Poulton, Alex Thomas, and Simone Kasemann.

o say the conference has been animated over the past 27 hours would be a gross understatement. Acquisitive brains flit purposefully between the nerve centers
